The pragmatic Erema, on the verge of a promotion at work, accidentally finds himself in the magical kingdom of Far Far Away with his younger sister.
To return home, he must make the gloomy Princess Nesmeyana laugh. But it won’t be easy, because in reality, she’s just putting on a front: she dreams of true love. Erema wins the trust of the kingdom and the princess’s heart, but once he’s achieved his goal, he realizes he’s been deceived and returns to the real world. As a reward, he receives everything he ever dreamed of, but feels as though he’s lost what truly matters. Meanwhile, Nesmeyana is kidnapped by the Water Spirit, and the fairy-tale world is plunged into despair.
Erema decides to return to the distant kingdom and save Nesmeyana, unsure if he will be able to walk the hero’s path once more—not for a reward, but for love.
